Are the cakes ready or do I need to order?
We make everything to order to ensure freshness, so please call ahead if you need something straight away.

How can I pay?
We accept Visa, Master, AMEX and Diners. There is no surcharge to any card payment. We also accept cash, EftPos in store and EFT transfers on invoice if you have an account with us.

When is my payment deducted if using credit card?
Your card will be processed upon completing your order through our secure payment gateway. We will send a confirmation of your order once payment is processed and approved.

What is the name that appears on my card statement?
Our trading name is ‘Gourmet Cake Express’

Terms and Conditions
What if I change my mind after ordering and paying?
We cannot cancel your order.

Do you offer Returns, Refunds or Exchange?
There are no returns, refunds or exchange for our goods, this is strictly due to hygiene.

Do I get an Invoice?
Yes the driver will deliver the invoice with your cake.

Can you amend my invoice or resend a lost invoice?
Yes please email finance@cakeexpress.com.au

Do you have a delivery and dispatch policy?
Your order will be delivered to the address specified during the requested time slot. If there is any variance, our driver will call to confirm.

What if I am not at home for the delivery?
Please organise a safe place or neighbour to receive. The driver will call and if there is no safe place to leave the cake, and no answer, it will be brought back to our store for redelivery at a min cost of $10.

What is the minimum order for delivery?
Minimum order for delivery is one cake or if you choose the single serves, then 18 pieces.

What time to I need to order by for delivery?
Please place your order by 4pm for the next day or Friday 4pm for Monday, so the admin team can process intime for the chefs at night. If you need a same day order please call or email before 11am and we will deliver that same afternoon.

Do you offer same day delivery?
Yes please order before 11am.

What days do you deliver?
We deliver Mon to Sat, between 8am and 3pm.

Can I pick up?
Our store is in Lewisham, where you can pick up your order if you choose not to have delivery.

Can I use your cakes for a promotional send out.
We have a special rate for corporate send outs, we can pick up your accompanying documents and customise the design and writing to assist in getting your message to your clients.

What areas are free delivery?
Sydney CBD, North Ryde, North Sydney, Chatswood, Alexandria and surrounding suburbs.

How much to other areas?
This can be from $15 to $50 depending on the distance and time needed.

Can I request a specific delivery time?
Yes please choose from one of our 2 hour delivery windows on checkout.

Do you deliver straight the venue or restaurant?
Yes, simply let the venue know and give us the name, time and number of guests on the reservation and then we will deliver directly to the venue, restaurant, hotel or function centre.

Do you cater for corporate events?
Yes, please see catering menu or simply email our team for a quote

Are your cakes halal?
Yes. Our suppliers are halal certified and we use halal ingredients for all our products.

Do you offer egg free cakes?
Yes a list of these is under the special diets tab.

What about dairy free or gluten free?
Yes, these cake are under the special diets section.

Are the cakes Kosher?
We have a range of dairy and egg free cakes on the special diets page.

Any of your cakes nut-free?
Yes please check the description and name of the cake and make a special note if have a nut free requirement.

Do you make vegan cakes?
These are listed under the special diets section.

What if I have a custom design?
Please email a photo and we will be able to quote.

Can I get a plaque with message on my cake?
25 characters or less is $5, up to 60 characters is $8.

Can I visit your store to discuss designs and flavours?
We are open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm Saturday, please make an appointment.
